Since a bit-select is a degenerate case of part-selects, I would like to see part-selects allowed in arrayed structures.

In fact variable part-selects would be the best!

If you consider usage of arrays to store information, update and retrieval of
selected groups would be preferred instead of having to retrieve the entire
element, update the certain fields and then update the entire element again.
