I read the minutes and have only one comment about them.

I am sure I do not have to point out deficiencies of 'C' that detract from it's
use as a base for new languages! I would hope that Esterel provides better
constructs such that C's difficulties can be sidestepped.
There has been a lot of work done on language research in the past years since
'C' has been developed. Critiques of many languages have been written - I hope
that these critique's would be standard homework for people attempting to
adopt these languages in an attempt to form a new one.
