Good afternoon Mac:

You bring up another case of the very unfortunate fact that only
modules are globally defined. Clearly our structures proposal
would benefit from global definitions as well as functions.

Is anyone willing to breach the global definition for other
elements of the language?

Some of the functions you mention are very trivial (even, odd) and
other can be produced with direct use of the ternary operator (min,
max, abs) albeit with multiple evaluations possible (although for only
compile time, it's cost is 0).

Of the remaining list, are you proposing new keywords? I have to
believe someone wrote a task/function for these names that would
conflict.
