    Minutes of BTF meeting on April 5, 2004, 10:45 AM PDT.

    In attendance:
            Kurt Baty
            Cliff Cummings
            Tom Fitzpatrick
            Ronald Goodstein
            Francoise Martinolle
            Kathryn McKinley
            Karen Pieper
            Brad Pierce
            Steven Sharp
            Alec Stanculescu

    Kurt moves seconded by Tom that we approve the minutes, nobody opposes,
    Passes.

    The Chair reads the IEEE patent policy presentation,and refers all
    to http://www.verilog.com/IEEEVerilog.html where a link to the IEEE
    policy is prominent.

    Kathy reports on the discussions from the datatypes sub-group.
    Work is underway, nothing to bring to the BTF yet.

    Action item:
            datatypes sub-group to "claim" which enhancements it is
            dealing with.

    Kathy reports that extensions guideline sub-group has two BNF
    guidelines for the BTF to act on, THIS NOTICE!

    Action items:

            Kathy to send out mail EGG BNF guidelines doc.

            BTF members to review for the next meeting!

    Cliff announced that he is a member of DASC now.

    Action items:

            Steve to forward recommendation on issue 538 to VSG.

            Alec is charged with sorting the enhancements list
            to provide a few more "simple ones" for the BTF to
            work on.
