OK, I got the files and was able to uncompress them.
Let me describe what I see in the 1995 files.
The 1995 files are dated Aug 21-Sep 24, 1996.
Each chapter is in a separate file.
They are in FrameMaker 3.0 format.
For some reason, the file names acquired a suffix .BIN which apparently was not
there originally.
Some of the files I can open.
Most appear corrupted.
Specifically:
OK: Book, Index, TOC, Annex A-G, Chapters 3, 5, 20.
Corrupted: Annex H, Chapters 1-2, 4, 6-19, 21-23, Intro.
Note that this version contains an Index, which is not contained in the online
PDF IEEE version.
The chapters I have been able to open look absolutely identical to what is on
the PDF,
include formatting, headers, footers.
They seem to be essentially the final version.
The only difference I have seen is in the TOC, where the PDF TOC starts on page
viii,
whereas the FrameMaker TOC starts on page ix.
I will summarize the 1364-2001 files in a separate mail.
