     Summary of the four main options for issue #20 --
     
     Preserve the existing semantics --
     
        1) Simplify the BNF, add a semantic check.
     
        2) Expand the BNF in exactly the spirit of the current BNF.
     
        3) Expand the BNF, but compress the productions where possible.
     
     Extend the language --
     
        4) Allow variable declaration assignments in named blocks,
            tasks and functions.
