continuous assignment.
Shalom may get to by the next meeting.
(7/14/03) 204: James volunteered to drive
He needs input on what the simulators do. There are some
complex issues here dealing with port collapsing and inout.
That is covered by issue 54.
As to the exact issue in 204, how about adding examples
indicating that examples 2, 3, 4 are illegal? James will
do that.
(7/14/03) 206: Shalom volunteered to drive
90% done. Next week?

them.
-326: Escaped names not clearly defined. Issue sent to sv-ec and
forwarded to us. This is a PLI issue number 307. We will
keep this item; however, we are waiting for PTF resolution of
307 before we address this issue.
(- lack proposals)
Issues with Proposals:
9: Gord and Cliff are still working on it.
175: Should be moved back to the open state. Shalom to drive the issue.
192: Shalom moves that we accept this proposal with the modification
noting that the separate issue mentioned in section 5 was filed
as 395. Cliff seconds. No opposed. No abstain. Passes.
205: James moves that we accept the proposal. Cliff seconds. No
opposed. No abstain. Passes.
217: The proposal was offered that we could allow parameters only in the
module scope. Localparams could be used however.
Everyone is going to go think about it.
225: Anders moves that we accept the proposal. Shalom seconds. No
opposed. No abstain. Passes.
Annex G has a list of defines for VPI direction. No direction
ports are null ports.
There are a number of places in the standard that discuss port
direction, but they do not mention no direction ports. Shalom
is wondering if the standard needs to be clearer. For now, we
will assume there is no issue.
226: The proposal is to add an example indicating that the parentheses
are required. Several simulators accept the code without the
parentheses.
Straw poll: loosen restriction on bnf? Shalom. Gord. Mac.
Proposal as it exists today: Anders. Brad.
Abstain. Steven. Cliff. Charles. Kurt.
Brad moves that we reject this proposal. Gord seconds. Anders
opposes. Cliff, Kurt, Charles, Steve abstains. Passes.
Brad takes the action correct the BNF.
237: Charles has not heard back yet. We'll vote next time.
272: How about creating hierarchical_constant expressions rather than
moving the BNF to use constant_expressions that does not allow
hierarchical reference.
Brad moves that we reject this proposal. Shalom seconds. No
opposed. No abstain. Passes.
338: Shalom moves we accept this proposal. Cliff seconds. No opposed.
No abstain. Passes.
365: Shalom moves we accept the proposal. Cliff seconds. No opposed.
