I assume you mean parameter declarations.
There is no reason for parameters not to be allowed in automatic tasks.
In terms of BNF syntax, parameters can be declared in tasks,
and there is no difference in the syntax between automatic and static
tasks.
In terms of overwriting them, you could not overwrite them.
Static task parameters can be overriden by defparams, but you cannot do
defparams to automatic tasks because you cannot do hierarchical references
into automatic tasks.
Other than the inability to overwrite them, parameters in automatic tasks
have the same advantages as everywhere else, e.g., use of symbolic names
for constants, and the need to change in only one place when you want to
change the value.
