At the last ETF meeting, I took an action item to try to get a volunteer
from here to help with the wording of the generate changes (since Gord is
not able to do it, at least for a while). I have managed to get the person
I was hoping to get.
Jason Woolf is one of our senior engineers, with many years of experience
working on NC-Verilog and other EDA tools. He architected and implemented
our support for Verilog-2001 generates, and has a good understanding of the
issues involved. I was consulting with him about all of our discussions
already.
He has started looking at the existing text. He feels that by rewriting
sections of it, he can make it much clearer, while still capturing the
intended meaning that has been generally agreed upon.
