The chair directed everyone's attention to
http://www.verilog.com/IEEEVerilog.html where a link to the IEEE patent
policy was reviewed.
Review of the minutes of the last ETF meeting (January 24, 2004).
Shalom moves that we accept the minutes. James seconds. No opposed. No abstain. Passes.
Issues:
639: In 12.33 Shalom made a note normative rather than informative, and changed a will to be shall allowing implementations to limit the number of ports. This is already passed as a part of the editors authority to address can/shall issues.
Shalom got a request from the Verilog AMS group to integrate Verilog AMS into the 1364 standard.
428: This has Shalom’s proposal. Shalom proposes that he will prepare a before and an after version, so all the changes can be seen together.
465: Shalom moves that we close this issue as superceded by 483. Brad seconds. No opposed. No abstain. Passes.
486: Brad moves that we approve this proposal. Shalom seconds. No opposed. No abstain. Passes.
619: Brad moves that we approve this proposal. Don seconds. No opposed. No abstain. Passes.
634: Delay this to a later meeting. Parameters can be declared in a module header and within the module body. If there are any parameters in a port list, then any additional parameters in the module are treated as local parameters, and cannot be overridden.
645: Proposal: In 7.1.2,
CHANGE
"The pullup gate can have only strength1 specification;
strength0 specification shall be optional.
The pulldown gate can have only strength0 specification;
strength1 specification shall be optional.
See 7.8 for more details."
TO
“The pullup gate shall have one of the following: no strength specification, only a strength1 specification, or both strength1 and strength0 specifications. The pulldown gate shall have one of the following: no strength specification, only a strength0 specification, or both strength1 and strength0 specifications. See 7.8 for more details."”
James moves that we accept this proposal. Shalom seconds. No opposed. No abstain. Passes.
646: Shalom moves that we accept this proposal as to be implemented by the editor. Don seconds. No opposed. No abstain. Passes.
Our next meeting is 3/7/2005 (The intervening meeting is President’s day).
